At Caura, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to discover their strengths and build a meaningful future. Our employment supports help young people develop the confidence, skills, and independence needed to step into the workforce and their community with pride.
Through our Employment skill building program, whilst in school or transitioning out of school participants learn practical life and job skills such as budgeting, travel training, resume building, and gaining real work experience. We focus on empowering each individual to explore their interests, build confidence, and move towards sustainable employment and greater independence.
Building Skills for Real Employment
Employment plays an important role in building independence, confidence, and life skills. At Caura, our Employment program helps young people develop the practical skills needed to transition from whilst in school/ or out of school to build skills for future opportunities in life.
Supports can be delivered through 1:1 mentoring or small group programs, depending on the participant’s needs and goals.
- You will develop skills such as:
- Resume building and job applications
- Everyday life skills
- Budgeting and financial independence
- Travel training to get to work safely
- Workplace communication and confidence
- Work experience aligned with future career goals
We are the only NDIS provider with a large pool of work experience in different industries providing more than opportunities for our clients that are delivered as a 1:1. Caura has a unique list of over 20 work experience opportunities in different industries and you’re bound to gain experience in your dream job and have the opportunities to meet some great contacts that will assist in future employment.
