Supported Independent Living (SIL)

Caura provides tailored daily support for participants living in shared or individual homes. Supports may be delivered at different staffing ratios such as 1:1, 1:2 or 1:3, with 24/7 support available where required.

Caura carefully matches participants with compatible housemates and may offer transitional living arrangements to ensure the environment and support structure are the right fit before permanent placement.

Specialised Disability Accomodation (SDA)

Caura provides 3 types of homes suitable for the different needs and requirements, this will be indicated in your NDIS plan as to what is recommended for you based on you funding type. You will need to have SDA funding to access these supports.

Short Term Accomodation (STA/Respite)

Caura provides temporary supported stays where participants receive assistance with daily living, personal care, meals, and community activities.

It offers opportunities to build independence, develop social skills, and experience new environments. STA also provides families and carers with short-term respite while ensuring participants receive safe, personalised support.

Community Participation

Caura provides supports to participants to engage in social, recreational, and community activities that build confidence, independence, and meaningful connections. Supports may include attending events, volunteering, learning new skills, and participating in group activities that encourage friendship, teamwork, and active involvement in the community.

Support Coordination & Specialised Support Coordination

Caura specialises in 3 levels of Support Coordination. This Depends on the funding arrangements provided to you in your NDIS Plan. To learn more about the difference please feel free to teach out to us at info@caura.com.au

Nursing Care

Caura provides participants with access to qualified nurses who deliver clinical support in the home or community.
Services may include:
  • Medication management and administration
  • Wound care and dressing changes
  • Continence assessments and support
  • Chronic disease management
  • Health monitoring and clinical assessments
  • Diabetes management
  • Catheter care
  • PEG feeding support
  • Post-hospital care and recovery support
  • Education and health management support for participants and carers

Employment & Skill Development (SLES)

Employment and Skill Development supports participants to build the skills and confidence needed to prepare for and maintain employment while developing independence.
Supports may include:
  • Job readiness and workplace skills
  • Resume and interview preparation
  • Work experience or volunteering
  • Confidence and communication skills
  • Routine and time management
  • Support transitioning into employment or training programs.

Behaviour Support Implementation

Behaviour Support Implementation
Behaviour Support Implementation assists participants in developing positive behaviours and improving daily wellbeing through structured support strategies. Trained staff work alongside behaviour support practitioners to implement personalised plans that promote safety, independence, and improved quality of life.
Supports may include:
  • Implementing behaviour support plans
  • Positive behaviour strategies
  • Emotional regulation support
  • Skill-building for daily routines
  • Monitoring and reporting behavioural progress

Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP)

The Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) provides entry-level support for older Australians who need some assistance to continue living independently at home. Services focus on maintaining wellbeing, independence, and connection to the community.
Services may include:

  • Personal care support
  • Home maintenance and gardening

Support At Home

The Support at Home Program provides government-funded services that help older Australians remain safe, independent, and comfortable in their own homes. Supports are tailored to individual needs and focus on maintaining health, wellbeing, and daily independence.
Services may include:
  • Care Coordination
  • Personal care and daily living assistance
  • Domestic assistance and household tasks
  • Meal preparation and nutrition support
  • Transport to appointments and community activities
  • Social support and companionship
